OpenAI Announces New Discoveries in Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics
On 26 October 2026 OpenAI announced three results from an internal model: local smoothing in every dimension (implying the Kakeya conjecture), a disproof of the Exponential Time Hypothesis, and an existence proof for four-dimensional QCD and Yang–Mills theory.
