This guide sets out seven ways to reduce IT deployment costs in 2026 in the order they pay back: rationalising the hardware catalogue, buying against a forecast rather than a ticket, retiring imaging for zero-touch provisioning with direct despatch, automating application packaging and readiness testing, extending the refresh cycle on condition rather than calendar, making deployment the licence control point, and stopping the deployment of infrastructure nobody uses.
