Hotel Lobby AI is the newest video tool on the AIxploria directory, and despite its name it has nothing to do with hotels. Upload two photos, pick one of 14 scenes, and the site returns a 15-second clip of your two subjects trading rap verses around a single microphone. AIxploria added its card at 05:51 UTC on Wednesday 7 October 2026.
The format comes from a viral trend built on a 2022 performance by Quavo and the late Takeoff, and a crowd of apps now sells versions of it. HotelLobby.ai is one of the newest. Its domain was registered on 29 September, and its pages were last updated on 1 October.
Below we explain where the trend came from, what Hotel Lobby AI actually does, what each video costs, how its privacy promises contradict one another, and what an organisation should check before putting staff, customers or a brand into the frame.

Where the Hotel Lobby AI Trend Came From
The source is “Hotel Lobby”, a song Quavo and Takeoff released as the duo Unc & Phew. In 2022 they performed it on A COLORS SHOW, the YouTube series known for single-colour studios. The set has a plain orange wall, one hanging microphone and two men trading bars into a fixed camera.
From cats to celebrities
Hip-hop site Sneakz & Beatz, citing XXL’s report of 23 September, says the trend began with a TikTok of two cats mimicking the performance in early September. AI face-swap apps then turned it into a template: upload two front-facing photos and get a synced 15-second clip back within minutes.
Why this clip works so well
The COLORS format suits face-swap software almost perfectly. There are no cuts, no camera moves and fixed framing, while the song has two voices and a lot of hand choreography. Every swap therefore reads as a duo. On 23 September Quavo reposted the original performance on X, and the trend moved from TikTok to every timeline.
The uncomfortable part
Takeoff was killed in Houston in November 2022, a few months after the performance was filmed. As Sneakz & Beatz put it, every clip is “a joke format built on footage of a dead man”. XXL also raised the point that the apps use people’s faces and COLORS’ visual brand without anyone’s permission.
From trend to directory in about a month
The dates show how fast a trend becomes a paid product. HotelLobby.ai’s domain was registered six days after Quavo’s repost, and the AIxploria card followed eight days later.

What Hotel Lobby AI Actually Does
HotelLobby.ai describes itself as “an independent AI duo template editor, not a hotel concierge, booking service, or human representative.” It does not generate a song. It takes a prepared template video and swaps your two subjects into it.
Two photos, one template
You upload one photo for the left subject and one for the right, as JPG, PNG or WebP files of up to 8 MB each. Each photo should show one clearly visible adult or animal. A headshot guides face replacement only, while a full-body photo also guides hair, clothing and appearance.
The 14 templates
Six templates use the orange studio, including two cats, two corgis and a fox with a red panda. The rest move the duet into hotel-style settings such as a “Marble Check-In Cypher”, a “Neon Elevator Exchange” and a “Bellhop Fox & Red Panda”. That is where the hotel lobby name finally earns its place.
The output
Every video is 15 seconds long, landscape 16:9, and delivered as an MP4 file at 480p, 720p or 1080p. The site says the AI “aims to follow” the template’s motion, but “exact movement and lip sync are not guaranteed”. Finished videos stay downloadable for seven days.
Getting a usable result
The site’s photo guide is short and sensible: one subject per photo, a front-facing or slightly angled face, eyes and jawline visible, and the original photo rather than a screenshot. Even lighting helps the face match. Likeness, hands and motion can still vary, so review the whole clip before you share it.
The music is not generated
This is the detail most listings get wrong. HotelLobby.ai says the application “restores the selected template’s original audio, not newly composed music.” The site does not say whose recording that audio is. Its terms make you responsible for confirming that any soundtrack you publish is authorised for your account, territory and purpose.
The Hotel Lobby AI Card on AIxploria
The Hotel Lobby AI card is short: a blurb, tags, a badge and a list of rivals, with no written review. We downloaded it at 10:33 UTC, under five hours after publication.
| Field | What the card shows |
|---|---|
| Published | 05:51 UTC, 7 Oct 2026 (edited 06:02) |
| Rank badge | #257 in Video Generators |
| Tags | AIxploria Selection, Latest AI, Music, Video Generators |
| Pricing tag | Paid |
| Rating | 4.5 out of 5 from 8 votes |

What the blurb gets right
The blurb says: upload two photos, choose from 14 scenes, get a 15-second rap duet with “friends, couples, or animals gathered around a microphone”, in 16:9, exported up to 1080p. Every one of those facts matches HotelLobby.ai’s own pages, and the “Paid” tag is accurate because there is no free tier.
What it gets wrong
The page description says the tool produces a video “featuring models and music”, and the blurb says the AI will “generate” the rap duet. The site says it restores a template’s original audio and edits the template’s video. The card also never mentions the trend, the artists or the rights questions that come with them.
A rating the same as its neighbour’s
The 4.5 rating rests on eight votes. The Any Video Converter card, posted by the same AIxploria author 85 minutes later, also shows exactly 4.5 from eight votes. The card gives no way to see who voted, so treat both ratings as unverified.
Hotel Lobby AI Pricing: What One Video Really Costs
There is no subscription. You buy a one-time credit pack, and each video uses credits according to its resolution. Credits never expire, and failed or blocked generations return the credits used, though the site says this “is not a promise of a cash refund”.
| Pack | Price | Credits | Cost per credit | 720p videos it buys |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter Drop | $9.90 | 50 | $0.198 | 1, with 5 credits left |
| Creator Stack | $19.90 | 105 | $0.190 | 2, with 15 credits left |
| Studio Vault | $29.90 | 160 | $0.187 | 3, with 25 credits left |
The arithmetic behind the table
Cost per credit is the price divided by the credits: $9.90 divided by 50 is $0.198, $19.90 divided by 105 is about $0.190, and $29.90 divided by 160 is about $0.187. A 720p video uses 45 credits, so the Starter Drop buys one and leaves five, which cannot pay for anything on their own.
The 1080p trap
The cheapest pack cannot buy a single 1080p video. A 1080p clip costs 80 credits and the Starter Drop holds 50, so you would need two packs, $19.80, for one full-resolution video. Even the Studio Vault buys only two 1080p clips.
Each Hotel Lobby AI figure is the credits used multiplied by $0.186875, the Studio Vault rate ($29.90 divided by 160): 80 credits is $14.95, 45 is $8.41 and 20 is $3.74. Bars are scaled to the $14.95 maximum, so 8.41 divided by 14.95 is 56.3% and 3.74 divided by 14.95 is 25%. The Starrd figure is XXL’s approximate per-clip price.
Is it good value?
At 720p, Hotel Lobby AI costs between $8.41 and $8.91 a clip depending on the pack, well above the roughly $5 reported for Starrd. Free CapCut templates also exist. You are paying for the extra hotel and animal templates, the 1080p option and the published rules, not for exclusivity.
How Hotel Lobby AI Handles Your Photos
The privacy pages are unusually detailed, and that detail is useful. It also shows that the site’s own statements disagree about how long your photos are kept.
The suppliers behind the site
The privacy policy names every provider. Manus hosts the site, login and database. Stripe takes payment. APIMart edits the template using the WAN 3.0 video model, receiving your two photos through “unguessable, short-lived HTTPS links”. Earlier jobs used Seedance 2.5, and a third provider, SeeAPI, “may hold historical task or output records”.
Two different retention promises
The FAQ says source images are removed after completion or failure, “with an intended maximum retention of 24 hours”. The privacy policy says processed source photos from successful tasks “stay with the video for up to 7 days”, and that “authorized administrators may inspect them for support and quality”. Both statements carry the same 1 October update date.
| Where it is said | How long your photos are kept | Who can see them |
|---|---|---|
| FAQ on the home and pricing pages | Intended maximum of 24 hours | Not stated |
| Upload panel on the home page | Up to 7 days after a successful video | Authorised administrators; APIMart for up to 24 hours |
| Privacy policy | Up to 7 days after a successful video | Authorised administrators |
| Delete-my-data page | Deleted within 7 days | Not stated |
| Provider copies (SeeAPI, older jobs) | “No automatic expiration” | The provider |
Deletion has limits
Deleting a video or your account removes the site’s local copy. But HotelLobby.ai says it “cannot be promised to delete provider-held copies”, calls APIMart’s deletion “best-effort”, and notes that SeeAPI’s public interface “does not document remote deletion”. For older jobs, copies may sit with SeeAPI indefinitely.
A face check on every human video
Before delivery, a computer vision check on the server “temporarily compares facial features from both uploads with several frames of the generated result”. If the faces cannot be matched, the video is withheld and the credits are returned. The site says these face descriptors are not retained. Under UK GDPR, facial measurements can count as biometric data, so a business should note this step.
Who runs the site
None of the pages we read names a company, a postal address or a governing law. The only contact is a support email address. The domain was registered on 29 September 2026, six days after Quavo’s repost. For a service that holds people’s faces, that is thin information on who is responsible.
The Rights Questions Behind Hotel Lobby AI
HotelLobby.ai’s rules are stricter than many rivals’. It bans public figures, minors, intimate content, deceptive endorsements, election misinformation and copyrighted characters, and every result is labelled as AI-generated. The harder questions sit outside the site’s control.
Faces
You must own each photo or have “explicit permission from every identifiable adult shown”. In practice that means asking the colleague, friend or customer before the upload, not after the clip goes viral. A clip that puts words or gestures on a real person can still mislead or embarrass them.
The music
The terms put the soundtrack risk on you. If the restored audio is the original song or close to it, publishing it from a brand account could breach the platform’s music rules or the rights holder’s copyright. Business accounts on major social platforms usually have narrower music libraries than personal ones.
The performance itself
HotelLobby.ai says it is “not affiliated with any artist, record label, performance channel, CapCut, Dreamina, Noiz, or other generator referenced in trend reporting.” Its templates use original performers rather than Quavo and Takeoff. But the whole format trades on their COLORS set, which is the point XXL raised.
What happens after a complaint
The copyright page asks rights holders to identify the work or person, the generation ID and their authority. HotelLobby.ai then says it preserves “the minimum record needed to investigate”, restricts access where appropriate, contacts the uploader when legally permitted, and tracks repeat violations. That is a reasonable process, but it starts only after a clip has been made.
Labels and disclosure
The site asks you to keep its AI-generated disclosure when you publish. In the EU, the AI Act sets transparency duties for realistic AI-generated video, as we explained in our report on EU labels for authentic-looking AI content. Keep the label on every copy you share.
Hotel Lobby AI Against Its Rivals
The Hotel Lobby AI card lists Deevid AI, Kling 3.0 and MiniMax H3 as similar tools, and a longer strip adds Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, Genmo AI, Runway Gen-4.5 and Veo 3.1. These are general video generators, not trend apps.
The model inside it ranks far higher
AIxploria’s Video Generators category places WAN 3.0 ninth and Seedance 2.5 fourth. Those are the two models HotelLobby.ai says it uses, or used, through APIMart. The wrapper’s own badge is #257 in the same category, a gap of 248 places from WAN 3.0.
We could not verify #257
The category has 27 pages, and pages beyond the third are behind a browser challenge that blocks automated reading, so we could not check what sits at position 257. The badge system itself works: three control cards on the first page, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0, each carried a badge matching its position exactly. So #257 may well be right. It is simply unverifiable from outside, which is worth knowing before anyone quotes it.
Not in the ranked lists yet
At 10:33 UTC, “Hotel Lobby” appeared zero times on AIxploria’s Top 100 page and zero times on its Ultimate List, and three times on the Latest AI page. Earlier checks found new cards take at least a week to reach the ranked lists.
Other ways to make the same clip
Trend reporting names Starrd, at about $5 a clip, Summrs and free CapCut templates. Dreamina, CapCut’s AI video site, publishes its own Hotel Lobby AI prompt guide. If you only want one clip for a group chat, a free template may do. If you need 1080p, animal duets or a clear rulebook, HotelLobby.ai offers more.
A Note for Real Hotels
Hotel marketers searching for “hotel lobby AI” will land on this tool, and some will be tempted. The “Marble Check-In Cypher” and “Bellhop Fox & Red Panda” templates could make a light-hearted social clip for a property.
Use mascots, not staff
The safest version uses the animal templates or a mascot. If you want staff in the clip, get written consent, check the music rights for a business account, and remember the photos may be held for up to seven days with administrator access. Never use guests’ photos.
Bigger AI wins for hotels
A rap clip is a novelty. For lasting gains, front-desk and back-office AI pays off more, from guest messaging to reporting. Our guide to Copilot for hotels covers the practical uses.
Should You Use Hotel Lobby AI?
For a personal clip with a consenting friend or your own pets, Hotel Lobby AI is a clear, priced and well-documented way to join the trend. For anything with a brand attached, the gaps matter more than the novelty.
Good fits
Pet owners, friends making a private joke, and creators who want the animal and hotel templates rather than the orange-room original. The 480p option, at about $3.74 to $3.96 a clip, is enough for a phone screen.
Poor fits
Brand accounts that cannot clear the music, anyone using colleagues’ or customers’ faces without written consent, and organisations that need a named, accountable supplier. Our earlier look at the Vidmage face-swap card covers the same consent questions for a general face-swap tool.
A safe first test
Use your own photo and a pet, pick 480p, download the clip, then delete the video and your account data. That tests the output quality and the deletion flow for under $10, without handing anyone else’s face to the system.
Hotel Lobby AI: Frequently Asked Questions
Is Hotel Lobby AI a hotel product?
No. HotelLobby.ai describes itself as “an independent AI duo template editor, not a hotel concierge, booking service, or human representative.” The name comes from the song “Hotel Lobby” by Quavo and Takeoff.
How much does Hotel Lobby AI cost?
Credit packs cost $9.90 for 50 credits, $19.90 for 105 and $29.90 for 160. A 15-second video uses 20 credits at 480p, 45 at 720p and 80 at 1080p, so one 720p clip costs about $8.41 to $8.91.
Does Hotel Lobby AI generate the music?
No. The site says it restores the selected template’s original audio and does not compose new music. You are responsible for checking that you may publish that soundtrack.
How long does Hotel Lobby AI keep my photos?
Its pages disagree. The FAQ says an intended maximum of 24 hours, while the privacy policy says up to seven days after a successful video, with administrator access. Older provider copies may not expire at all.
Can I upload a celebrity or a child?
No. Public figures, minors, copyrighted characters and deceptive impersonation are all prohibited, and you must have explicit permission from every identifiable adult you upload.
