Environment & Reproduction

Root Cause Analysis
RMC connections between HMC and AIX LPARs or FSP are blocked or stale.
Quick Triage
On the LPAR, run lssrc -a | grep rsct and rmcdomainstatus -s ctrmc to check RMC.
Step-by-Step Diagnosis
From HMC, run lssyscfg -r sys and ping the FSP from the HMC service network.

Solution – Primary Fix
Recycle RMC on AIX with /usr/sbin/rsct/bin/rmcctrl -z then -A to re-register.
