Description: Progressive Robot's fork of hMailServer: mail server for SMTP, IMAP and POP3
Progressive Robot's fork of hMailServer, not the original hMailServer by
Martin Knafve, which is developed separately and has releases of its own.
 .
It is a mail server: SMTP for sending and receiving, IMAP and POP3 for
reading, with SPF, DKIM, DMARC and ARC, DNS blocklists and greylisting,
TLS with certificates from ACME, and a REST API with a browser-based
administration page, the Control Deck. Its accounts, messages' metadata and
settings are kept in PostgreSQL, or in MySQL or MariaDB through libmariadb,
which it loads when it is configured to.
 .
Progressive Robot Ltd maintains the fork, on Linux as well as Windows. This
build has no live update of its own: the package manager updates it, and the
server's update check names that command.

Description: Progressive Robot's fork of hMailServer: command-line client for its REST API
hmctl, the command-line client of Progressive Robot's fork of hMailServer,
administers a server of that fork over its REST API - domains, accounts,
aliases, settings, the queue, certificates and the rest - from a shell, on
the server itself or on another machine, Linux or Windows. It is one Python 3
file that needs nothing beyond the standard library. It does not work with
the original hMailServer by Martin Knafve, which has no REST API.
